You can take one cigarette out by clicking the pack in your inventory.

But, to really connect it with Arthur, you should make it a menthol one.

How do I make the cigarette a menthol cigarette?

What has menthol?

Use the mouthwash on the cigarette. You should now have a menthol cigarette.

I have menthol flawored cigarette

To make it work with the ritual, it needs to be lit.

How do I light the cigarette?

You need fire. That oven really looks like it should be fired up.
When the oven is fired up you can light the cigarette from the oven firebox.
