Where do I get a rope? 3 hints left

Hint 1

After you finish the Sudden Death round, you'll find yourself talking to Sonny Joon in his usual spot in the Field area. He tells you to grab a rope and disappears. What an irritating guy.

Hint 2

The rope you need is on the picnic table, in the general area where Kiri was standing before. Grab it, and you're transported to the cave at Lake Te Anau.

Hint 3

In there, take the left fork and go to the end, where there's a sign telling you to tie your rope there. Do so, and you'll drop down to where Sonny Joon awaits.
