Hint 1

Argh, that evil journalist! Got to stop her before she gets on the air. Save your game here before you start, since you only have ten minutes real time to get out before it's time to look for an antique store next to Alexei's.

You can't do anything with the door. What other ways are there to get out?

The vents are useless too. Maybe there's something behind that stack of boxes?

Aha, another door! -- which isn't locked, but it is stuck, blast it. But this one has visible hinges. Is there anything down here that might help you disable them somehow?

There was a screwdriver next to the isopropyl bottles to the left of the table; grab it and use it on the hinges of the door --
