How do I interpret the readout from the chromatograph machine? 8 hints left

You're going to need more help than your friends can provide here. Do what Nancy suggests --

Hint 2

-- and call Dad, who says he'll look into it. Give him some time to do so (that is, go do something else and come back to this later), then call him again.

Hint 3

Dad says he'll send the information to your house. It'll be a brown envelope on the shelf to the left of the fireplace in the living, and it may take a long time to show up, so have your friends check every time they're in the neighborhood.

Hint 4

In fact, it won't show up until you've found accelerants at three of the four suspect's locations.

Hint 5

Once Nancy has the report, click on it in inventory, and Nancy will bring out the printout from the chromatograph to compare. Huh. Now what?

Hint 6

What you're looking for here is the accelerant on the table you just got that matches the one tall spike on the printout. When you think you know which one it is, click on the name of that chemical on the sheet on the right.

Hint 7

The graph on the printout is kind of hard to read, but you're looking for one with a retention time of 45 and a detector response close to 100. You can make as many mistakes as you like, so if you're still confused, just click on them all till you get the right one.

Hint 8

However, if that seems lame to you, the one you want is isopropyl alcohol.
