To get from Misawa to Matsue, I took the royal blue, silver, orange, and dark brown lines. The exact stations are:

Misawa -- Nagoya -- Otsu -- Aomori -- Kochi -- Tochigi -- Seto -- Niigata -- Fuji -- Iga -- Matsue

Hint 4

However, there's nothing to do here until day 2, when you get a call from Bess and George telling you about Yumi.
