Professor Ward was recently seen with Beatrice Shaw, a medium. As luck would have it, she's currently performing at the local theatre - time for a show!

Not so fast...

Apparently, you're not allowed into the theatre without permission from its owner. You'll find him at the British Association of Supernatural Studies - which is now on your map.

What do we have here?

It seems Patrick has a history with the B.A.S.S, and that the theatre's owner is in the other room performing a séance. Non-members aren't allowed into the room.

What do I do?

If the séance is members-only, then you'll need to become a member (or look like one, anyway.)

How do I do that?

Note the pictures on the wall, near the door. If a picture of Patrick made its way into that collection, he'd be considered a B.A.S.S member.

Hmm...

After visiting Patrick's house earlier, you got a suitable picture of him. The butler may be busy checking for typos, but he'll notice you interfering with the portraits.

Can I distract him?

You tell me! Is there anything in the lobby that would make him leave the room?
A specific sound that the butler would be listening out for?

Help me out.

Ring the bell near the doorway on the left, and the butler will leave for a few seconds. Unlucky for you, that just isn't enough time for Patrick to take a portrait, swap the pictures, and put it back up - he spends too much time worrying about the frame.

What do I need to do?

The picture's lack of frame is the problem, so you'll need to find one in the wild.
What kind of business would appreciate its regular customers enough to frame them?

Help me out.

Head back to The Red Lion, where you'll find a collection of framed caricatures on the right of the door. Take one, and you can swap the picture inside with Patrick's portrait.

What now?

Ring the bell again to whisk away the butler, then put Patrick's framed likeness on the wall. Congratulations, B.A.S.S member! It's time for a séance!
