Hopefully this doesn't involve another puzzle.

What do I need to do?

Gerret's sitting in his hidden listening post - we need to make sure he can't leave it.

How can I do that?

Do you have anything that would comfortably sit in the bracket, blocking the door shut?

Like what?

Not an encyclopedia this time - something longer and sturdier.

Sword time!

A sword like that would draw too much attention (and probably be more useful elsewhere.)
We'll need a plank of wood.

Where can I find one?

There was one inside of the listening booth, but the door is locked tight.
Don't worry if you didn't take it, though; you'll simply need to leave the chapel, re-enter it, and open the listening post to take the board.

What now?

Gerret only entered the chapel when it appeared to be totally empty; is there anywhere you can hide?

The templar crypt...?

No, that's far too scary - besides, you don't need to fix a hiding spot that isn't broken!

What do you mean?

Lilli hid in the confession booth when Gerret first re-entered, so doing it again should do the trick!
